Corsica Book SOLD OUT

BREAKING NEWS! Just 30 days after its release, my book ‘The Corsica’ has sold out. It’s absolutely unprecedented and I am totally amazed and over the moon. Rest assured I will be investigating ‘print-on-demand’ as an alternative option for releasing additional copies in the future. Watch this space. I still can’t believe it. CEcontinue reading →

Book launch is a success

Well what can I say - the Corsica book launch on Sunday was a resounding success. Better than I had imagined. It was such a special event and I was so pleased that some of the passengers (who are now aged in their late 80s and 90s) were able to attend along with their families. This was the first reunion ever organised in Melbourne since the dilapidated and broken-down Corsica was berthed at Station Pier seventy years ago. Understandably it was a very emotional reunion with many tears shed. I was also very…continue reading →

The book contains 56 amazing stories of migration from 1951. That's right, 70 years ago. I was very fortunate to have met and interviewed a number of passengers who traveled on this ship from Cyprus to Australia in search of a better…continue reading →

My Peasant Girl Portraits

At long last, I am proud to present my peasant girl series of portraits. There are twelve portraits in this series and they represent my tribute to all those courageous and resilient young Cypriot village girls from a bygone era. I used a combination of traditional and digital media including pen and ink, watercolour textures as well as vector illustration and digital painting techniques. Special thanks to Ourania who agreed to be my young model for these portraits. I hope you like them. www.redbubble.com/people/talesofcypruscontinue reading →

Hi everyone. Three years after it's initial release (Oct 2018) my Tales of Cyprus book is sold out. I can hardly believe it. Unfortunately, at this stage I do not have any plans to reprint the book. Sorry if you missed out. I am currently working on my second book 'The Corsica" all about the ill-fated migrant ship and it's maiden voyage from Limassol, Cyprus to Melbourne, Australia at the end of 1951. I am hoping to launch this book sometime in 2022.continue reading →
